What Is a Title IX Investigation?
Title IX of the Education Amendments of 1972 prohibits sex discrimination at any school that receives federal funding. Today, most colleges and universities apply it to allegations of sexual harassment, sexual assault, dating and domestic violence, and stalking on campus.
These cases move on the university's own timeline and rules of evidence — not a courtroom's. A single finding can lead to suspension, expulsion, or a permanent notation on a transcript, regardless of which side of the complaint a student is on.
An experienced advisor early in the process protects your rights, your record, and your future — whether you were named in a complaint or you're the one who filed it.

Support for Students on Either Side of a Title IX Case
Title IX proceedings affect everyone involved. We advise students no matter which side of the complaint they're on.
Accused of a Violation
